Travel arrangements
Getting here
You need to arrange your flight from
your home to Sofia airport. Many airlines are now
flying into Sofia, and I think we have used all of
them; they are all recommended, but which one you
choose very much depends upon cost and where you want
to fly from.
We need everyone to be in Sofia ready
for day one on the Sunday morning. On the first night
you will stay in Sofia, and travel to us the next
day. You will probably fly out on Friday night or
Saturday daytime. Flights arrive at different times
at Sofia airport.
For cheap flights from the UK, we
recommend:
WizzAir
Alternatively, try:
Bulgarian Air
Lufthansa
British
Airways
When you arrive in Sofia our guide,
Toni, will either meet you at the airport and escort
you to your hotel or, if you hotel has laid on transport,
she will meet you at the hotel once you've settled
in. You may arrive with time on your hands to explore
Sofia. Toni can take you to places of interest and
show you local restaurants. Or, if you prefer, she
will give you the information you need to explore
on your own. This service is included in the holiday
costs.
Throughout your time in Sofia your
guide Toni will be contactable by phone, so you need
never feel that you are on your own. Toni is a personal
friend and has taken us around the whole of Bulgaria.
She will work with you to ensure you have a good experience
of your time in in Sofia.
Return journey
For your return journey we will help
you organise transport from Tryavna to Sofia. Your
flights may be a different times from other guests,
so you will need to plan individual transport. We
suggest a taxi, bus or coach back to the airport;
these can be easily arranged by us. The costs vary
from £5 for a bus to approximately £50
for a taxi for up to three people; we can discuss
this further when we know the times of your flights.
